Why More Black Women Should Start Black-Owned Businesses (Especially in the Beauty Industry) & How to Begin Your Side Hustle
Black women are the fastest-growing group of entrepreneurs in the U.S., yet they continue to face systemic barriers that make business ownership more challenging. Despite having limitless creativity, an unmatched work ethic, and a deep influence on global culture—especially in beauty—many Black women struggle to secure funding, resources, and opportunities to thrive as business owners.
If you’ve been dreaming of starting your own beauty brand, salon, or cosmetics line, there has never been a better time to turn that passion into a business. Here’s why Black women must step into entrepreneurship—especially in the beauty industry—and how to start your own side hustle today.
1. We Set the Trends—Now It’s Time to Profit from Them
From hairstyles to skincare techniques, makeup trends to nail art, Black women have shaped the beauty industry for centuries. Yet, major brands have historically ignored our needs while profiting off our culture. Instead of letting corporations capitalize on our creativity, we should be owning, producing, and profiting from the trends we create.
2. Representation Matters in Beauty
For too long, Black women have been an afterthought in the beauty industry. Shade ranges were too limited, haircare products were full of harmful ingredients, and industry leadership was overwhelmingly non-Black. When Black women start their own beauty businesses, they create products that genuinely cater to our unique needs—made by us, for us.
3. Building Generational Wealth & Financial Freedom
Starting a business isn’t just about making money—it’s about creating long-term financial freedom. Entrepreneurship allows Black women to break free from traditional workplace barriers (like wage gaps and lack of career advancement) and build generational wealth that can be passed down to future generations.
4. Owning Your Creativity & Power
Working for someone else can limit how much creative freedom you have. As a business owner, you make the rules. You decide what products to create, how to market them, and how to shape your brand identity. No more waiting for corporate approval—you are the CEO.
5. The Beauty Industry Is Booming (and There’s Room for You!)
The beauty industry is a multi-billion dollar business, and Black consumers spend nine times more on beauty products than any other demographic. Yet, Black-owned beauty brands still make up only a small fraction of the market. This means there is plenty of opportunity for new entrepreneurs to step in and claim their space.
How to Start Your Own Side Hustle & Step Into Entrepreneurship
Not sure where to begin? Here’s how to start building your Black-owned beauty business—whether it’s a full-time venture or a side hustle you grow over time.
1. Find Your Passion & Niche
Ask yourself: What excites you most about the beauty industry? Do you love makeup, skincare, haircare, nails, or holistic beauty? Choose a niche that aligns with your passion and expertise.
Examples of Beauty Business Ideas:
• Haircare line (natural hair products, wigs, or extensions)
• Skincare brand (body butters, serums, or organic skincare)
• Cosmetics line (lip gloss, foundation, or lashes)
• Nail business (press-on nails, custom nail polish)
• Beauty services (makeup artist, esthetician, braider, or loctician)
2. Research & Learn the Industry
Before launching, take time to research the market. Look at your competitors, pricing, and target audience. Follow beauty industry trends and study successful Black beauty entrepreneurs for inspiration.
3. Start Small (You Don’t Need a Huge Budget!)
You don’t need thousands of dollars to start. Begin with a small, high-quality product or service, test it with friends and family, and grow from there.
Low-Cost Ways to Start:
• Private label products (buying wholesale and branding them as your own)
• Handmade products (lip gloss, body butters, or hair oils)
• Drop shipping (selling beauty products without managing inventory)
• Offering services (braiding, lash extensions, or makeup artistry)
4. Create Your Brand Identity
Your brand is more than just a name—it’s your vibe, mission, and story. Pick a business name, logo, and aesthetic that speaks to your audience.
Quick Branding Tips:
• Choose a name that’s easy to remember and spell
• Create a color scheme and aesthetic for your brand
• Use social media (Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest are huge for beauty brands)
• Share your story—customers connect with authenticity!
5. Build an Online Presence & Market Your Business
Social media is everything in the beauty industry. Create an Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube account to showcase your products or services. Offer tutorials, behind-the-scenes content, and customer testimonials to build trust.
Marketing Ideas:
• Post beauty tutorials using your products
• Collaborate with beauty influencers or micro-influencers
• Offer discounts or giveaways to attract customers
• Start a website or Etsy shop to sell online
6. Stay Consistent & Keep Learning
Entrepreneurship is a journey. Not every day will be easy, but consistency is key. Keep learning, adapting, and refining your business as you grow. Join Black business networking groups, attend beauty expos, and seek mentorship from successful entrepreneurs.
It’s Time to Claim Your Spot in the Beauty Industry
The world needs more Black women-owned businesses, especially in the beauty space. If you have a passion for hair, skin, makeup, or wellness, this is your sign to step into entrepreneurship. Your ancestors paved the way for you to create, own, and build something that lasts for generations.
Start small, dream big, and remember—you were born to shine. Let’s turn our passion into profit and make our mark on the beauty industry. It’s time to secure the bag and the legacy.

Real Skincare Guide

Level 1: breakouts, non-painful, a little scarring
Minimize your skincare routine, all you need is an oil cleanser (if you wear a lot of makeup) than a good foam cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen. Repeat the same routine before bed just without the sunscreen.
Wear sunscreen everyday!!!
Always apply more moisturizer than you think you need.
Drink a lot of water (2-3LT)
Get consistent sleep
Take a multi vitamins to balance your hormones. I recommend the One-A-Day Woman’s Vitamins (get a real pill cause the gummies don’t have enough iron)
Work on your stress (breathe work, meditate, journal, yoga, walks, going out with friends, therapy, etc)
Look at what body oils/shampoo/conditioner you are using. Could be your akin reacting poorly to something in there.
Level 2: consistant breakouts, acne, scarring
All the stuff for Level 1 apply.
Minimize your skincare routine and than slowly add back in stuff like hydrochloric acid and retinol. Having an elaborate skincare will just make your skin worse. First, focus on healing your skin barrier.
If you are a teenager, it just might be your hormones/growing pains. It will go away eventually.
Pimple Patches work and are especially good if you are trying to stop touching your face.
Wash your pillow cases every 1-2 weeks.
Try to sleep on your back.
If you pop a pimple than apply an antibiotic ointment.
No point in using anti-aging products if you are under the age of 25. It just won’t do anything for you.
Note that if you take in a lot of nicotine you will breakout. If you smoke and you have bad skin, it probably won’t improve unless you quit or lessen the dosage.
Level 3: painful consistent breakouts/acne/scars, redness, irritability, hurts,
Go see a dermatologist!
Acne is can be a real problem. If your acne is painful seek professional help.
If Accutane is recommended, than I would do it. Based only on the experiences of my friends, I have seen great results after a couple months. There are side effects and it is not for everyone but if a professional says you should than I might consider it.
No topical treatment is going to make those scars go away. You are going to need to laser resurfacing which is like this secret treatment rich people do to clear up their skin. It is expensive but really works. Beauty brands want you to think that the right cream can clear up your skin but if you have bad scarring you are only going to see real results with laser treatments
All of the above recommendations still apply
Your acne does not take away from your beauty or your worth as a human being. Remember that acne is normal and social media is fake.

Product Recommandations:
Disclaimer: Not every product will work for every skin type. Do your research for what will be beat for you!
Korean skincare! It is reliable to buy from yesstyle or Olive young. Don’t buy on amazon. (Japanese skincare is good too)

Do you ever sit back and wonder what kind of Skincare routine the pomefiore trio might have? especially Vil!
As someone with acne and dry skin, I would love to know when Twst when?! 😭😭
By virtue of being anime characters, they all (as in, all the boys, not just Pomefiore) have perfect skin no matter how little effort they put into their skincare routines 😂 Not me cringing when Kalim says he washes his face with just water—
Vil of course has a rigorous and dedicated routine. He creates homemade cosmetics and skincare for his personal use, but I’d imagine he also has access to many high end and fancy brands due to his industry connections, sponsorship deals, brand launch parties, and free product he gets sent. One thing we know (from Azul’s Ceremonial Robes vignettes) is that he uses eel slime lotion/toner 😂
I assume Rook didn’t really practice a skincare routine before he met Vil and transferred to Pomefiore from Savanaclaw. He solely admired beauty before, never partaking in beautifying himself until Vil urged him to match the beauty of the performances he loves so much. He’s the more willing of the two between him and Epel to do what Vil tells them! For Vil, Rook will even wear perfumes (he typically avoids them because they alert others to his presence). I think he probably also wears sunscreen now (since when he was in Savanaclaw he was described as being freckled; the present day Rook we know of doesn’t have these freckles).
I don’t think Epel really does much on his own (especially before book 5 when he was riddled with toxic masculinity). There’s a custom of washing your hands with soap and water back in his hometown of Harveston, but I’m not sure if that routine also applies to his face. Harveston, as it happens, crafts soaps with organic botanical oils which are said to be good for your skin; Epel got a bar of this as a souvenir for Vil. However, even if Epel doesn’t practice skincare that much, I’m sure Vil makes him do a complicated multi-step routine against his will. This was most obviously alluded to in book 4, but there’s also various throwaway lines in events which indicate that Vil hands him products and tells him to use them.
@ TWST merch team: you made Cater’s phone case, the magical wheel/blastcycle, and the ghost camera case real things 😊 it’s time to make Vil’s personal cosmetic and skincare products real things too 💕

MLMs: The “Totally Not a Pyramid Scheme” Pyramid Scheme
Ah yes, Multi-Level Marketing (MLM)—the business model that looks like an exciting entrepreneurial opportunity but actually functions like a high-stakes game of financial musical chairs. The ones who get in early rake in the cash, while everyone else is left holding a stack of unsellable protein shakes and regret.
But what is an MLM, and why should you care?
What Is an MLM?
A Multi-Level Marketing company (MLM) is a business structure where people make money not just by selling a product, but also by recruiting others to sell that product. Every recruit becomes part of their "downline," and the person above them (the "upline") earns a cut of their sales. In turn, those recruits are encouraged to recruit more people, and so on.
Sounds familiar? That’s because it’s structurally identical to a pyramid scheme—except MLMs slap a product on top to technically stay legal.
💡 Pyramid Scheme 101: A business where profits come primarily from recruitment rather than actual product sales is illegal in most countries. MLMs dodge this by selling tangible goods (like essential oils, leggings, diet shakes, or dubious skincare), even though the real money is made through signing up new recruits.
The result? A hierarchical system where the people at the top profit immensely, and almost everyone else is left with debt, a garage full of overpriced candles, and an awkward tension with their Facebook friends.
Why MLMs Are So Dangerous
MLMs don’t just fail people—they actively harm them, often targeting the most financially vulnerable. Here’s how:
🚩 The “Business” is not a Business
MLMs love to call their reps “independent business owners” (IBOs), but this is pure branding nonsense. In reality:
You don’t own anything—you’re just a commission-based salesperson.
You can’t set your own prices or sell the products anywhere you want.
The MLM can change the rules at any time, and you have no control.
A real small business allows you to build something sustainable. An MLM just makes you a glorified customer with a side gig in predatory recruitment.
💰 The Buy-In Trap
Unlike a normal job (where they pay you), MLMs require you to pay upfront for inventory, training materials, or expensive “starter kits.”
💡 Red flag: If a job requires you to invest money before you can start making money, it’s not a job—it’s a scam.
And let’s be real—these products are often wildly overpriced. Why? Because the actual customers of MLMs aren’t outsiders—it’s the sellers themselves. If the products were actually in demand, the company wouldn’t need a recruitment model to move them.
📉 99% of Participants Lose Money
According to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), over 99% of people who join an MLM either lose money or make less than minimum wage.
Why? Because MLMs are structured like a financial game of musical chairs:
You join and are told that you can totally make bank if you just work hard enough.
You buy inventory, attend “trainings,” and try to sell to your friends and family.
You realize the only real way to make money is by recruiting others into the same trap.
You run out of people to recruit (because everyone else is also trying to recruit).
You’re left with nothing but an empty wallet and the burning shame of DMing your old high school classmates with “Hey girl, I have an amazing opportunity for you!”
Meanwhile, the top 1%—the ones who got in early—are laughing all the way to the bank.
🧠 The Mind Games: Toxic Positivity & Manipulation
If you struggle in an MLM (which you will), the company won’t take responsibility. Instead, they’ll gaslight you into thinking it’s your fault: 🔹 “You’re just not working hard enough!” 🔹 “You need to believe in yourself!” 🔹 “Success is just around the corner—buy more inventory to reach your goals!”
This kind of blame-the-victim mentality keeps people trapped. Instead of recognizing that the system is rigged, recruits internalize the failure and keep sinking money into the scam, hoping for a breakthrough that will never come.
Who Do MLMs Target?
MLMs don’t recruit just anyone—they specifically prey on:
💰 People in financial distress – MLMs promise easy money with “no experience needed,” making them appealing to people struggling financially. The reality? Most end up losing money.
👩👧 Stay-at-home moms – MLMs pitch themselves as “mom-friendly businesses,” giving women the illusion of flexible work-from-home income. But in reality, they often exploit moms’ desire for financial independence, leaving them deeper in debt.
🎖 Military spouses – Frequent moves make it hard for military spouses to hold steady jobs. MLMs swoop in with “portable” career promises—but instead, families end up pouring their savings into an unsustainable scam.
🚑 People with chronic illnesses – MLMs peddling “miracle supplements” and essential oils often target sick people, implying that their expensive, unproven products will somehow “cure” them. It’s dangerous, unethical, and completely unscientific.
How to Spot an MLM Scam
🚨 Red flags that scream ‘MLM’ 🚨 ✔️ A “business opportunity” that requires you to pay upfront. ✔️ A focus on recruitment over actual product sales. ✔️ Lots of motivational slogans, but no real financial transparency. ✔️ Overpriced products that no one outside the company actually buys. ✔️ Earnings that depend on how many people you can recruit.
Remember: If you have to buy into a “job,” it’s not a job—it’s a scam.
The MLM Cycle of Doom
1️⃣ You’re lured in with promises of financial freedom. 2️⃣ You spend money on starter kits, training, and inventory. 3️⃣ You struggle to sell overpriced products and recruit people. 4️⃣ You’re told it’s your fault for not working hard enough. 5️⃣ You burn out, quit, and lose money—while your upline moves on to the next victim.
Meanwhile, the MLM keeps recruiting new people to replace the ones who quit. It’s a self-sustaining scam.
MLMs aren’t small businesses. They’re legalized scams that use recruitment and manipulation to enrich the people at the top while everyone else sinks deeper into financial ruin.
So, next time someone slides into your DMs with “Hey hun! I have an amazing opportunity for you!”—do yourself a favor and hit block.

Global Tetrahydrocurcumin Market Report: Trends, Opportunities, and Forecast 2025–2031
Global Tetrahydrocurcumin market demonstrates steady growth momentum, currently valued at US$6.9 million in 2024 with projections indicating a climb to US$9.8 million by 2031, reflecting a 5.2% CAGR throughout the forecast period. This natural derivative of curcumin is gaining traction across cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications, particularly as consumers increasingly demand plant-based bioactive compounds with scientifically validated benefits.
Tetrahydrocurcumin (CAS 36062-04-1) represents a technologically advanced iteration of traditional turmeric extracts, offering superior stability and bioavailability compared to conventional curcumin. Its multi-functional properties as an antioxidant, tyrosinase inhibitor, and anti-inflammatory agent make it particularly valuable for premium skincare formulations targeting hyperpigmentation and photoaging. Recent clinical studies have further validated its therapeutic potential in metabolic disorders and oncological applications, though cosmetic applications currently dominate commercial utilization.
Download FREE Sample Report: https://www.24chemicalresearch.com/download-sample/291099/global-tetrahydrocurcumin-forecast-market-2025-2031-449
Market Overview & Regional Analysis
Asia-Pacific commands nearly half the global market share (48%), propelled by China's extensive nutraceutical manufacturing base and South Korea's booming K-beauty industry. The region benefits from established turmeric supply chains and growing middle-class expenditure on premium cosmetic products featuring "clean beauty" ingredients. While domestic Chinese manufacturers dominate production, Japanese and Korean brands lead in high-value cosmetic applications.
Europe follows as the second-largest market (23%), with Germany and France emerging as innovation hubs for cosmeceutical formulations incorporating Tetrahydrocurcumin. North America accounts for 22% of demand, where its application in functional foods and dietary supplements is gaining FDA recognition. Emerging markets in Latin America and MENA regions show accelerated adoption, though regulatory hurdles and price sensitivity presently limit penetration.
Key Market Drivers and Opportunities
The market rides on three powerful industry trends: escalating demand for natural skin brightening agents as hydroquinone alternatives, growing preference for bioactive ingredients in anti-aging formulations, and expanding applications in therapeutic areas including diabetes management and cancer adjuvant therapy. Cosmetic applications currently drive 75% of consumption, with the remaining split between pharmaceuticals (18%) and functional foods (7%).
Significant white space exists in developing optimized delivery systems to enhance bioavailability, with nanoemulsion and liposomal technologies presenting lucrative R&D opportunities. The nutraceutical sector also shows promise, particularly for metabolic health products targeting Asia's growing diabetic population. Emerging applications in veterinary medicine and aquaculture present additional growth frontiers.
Challenges & Restraints
Market expansion faces headwinds from high production costs associated with hydrogenation processes, inconsistent raw material quality from turmeric sources, and regulatory ambiguity in novel food approvals. While the compound itself is Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) for topical use, oral applications face stricter scrutiny in Western markets. Smaller producers also struggle with scaling issues due to the specialized equipment required for consistent ?98% purity grades.
Intellectual property disputes over extraction methodologies and an influx of substandard products from unregulated suppliers threaten to commoditize the market. The lack of standardized testing protocols for bioactivity assessment further complicates quality assurance across the value chain.

I would love some makeup and skincare tips if you're willing :)
-🌼
of course!! (these answers are very general/assuming you're starting from the very beginning. if you want more specific advice lmk just give me more specific questions)
so I've talked about skincare on here before so I'll put that at the bottom of this ask, and I'll start with make up instead this time
makeup takes a learning curve to figure out how to use. there's no getting around that. it took years for me to figure out makeup stuff and I started playing around with it when I was only 12-13ish. don't feel embarrassed if your makeup doesn't turn out how you want. depending on what you're doing, you're basically learning how to paint but, like, really specifically and only on your face. it takes practice and that's ok! if you're embarrassed about people seeing you with makeup on, just do it alone in your room. the only reason I got good at winged eyeliner was because I made myself do makeup every day during the first quarantine era of covid so that I'd have a daily routine established and wouldn't just sit in pajamas in bed all day. I wasn't going out at all, so I made myself do winged eyeliner every time bc I knew no one was gonna see it, and it didn't take long for me to get good at it. so practice when you're alone and wipe it off when you're done. you'll figure it out eventually.
now as far as what kind of makeup to do on your face. well, that depends on what you're trying to achieve with makeup. do you want to cover up acne? do you want to do fun eyeshadow and eyeliner? do you want to enhance your natural features? if you're completely new to makeup I'd recommend starting with the basics of just trying to enhance your natural features. that's usually very simple and easy makeup that'll help you learn the foundations of it all so you can build up from there.
'natural' makeup routines that you read about online are probably going to consist of some kind of tinted moisturizer, maybe some concealer, maybe mascara, and probably a bit of blush. it depends on how much you want to do. if you're going for something with more coverage to cover up acne, look for foundation instead of tinted moisturizer.
if you're just starting out you're probably going to want to go for drugstore makeup instead of the expensive stuff. maybelline anti-age rewind multi-use concealer has been my go to concealer for years now. elf as a whole is a really low-priced and generally well recommended makeup brand with a lot of variety to what they sell. for whichever product you're trying to get, tbh just google 'best drugstore brand [insert product here]' and you'll find a ton of magazine articles pop up with recommendations.
last tips for now. here's what you don't need when you're just starting out: primer (you are probably not going to be doing heavy daily makeup right off the bat it's not worth it in that case). look, I know everyone talks about primer being amazing. but I basically never use foundation or tinted moisturizer, I just use concealer. so it's very unnecessary for me. later on you might find you need it, but at the start I promise you don't
hope that helps with some makeup stuff! skincare info below!
okay so for skincare, I've found that it's easiest to build a routine one step at a time. don't feel like you have to rush into everything all at once. first get into the habit of washing your face every morning and night if you don't already. make sure you have a good facial cleanser that's suited to your skin type (please don't use body soap for your face). cetaphil and cerave are both very highly rated drugstore skincare brands that have a lot of options for face cleansers for all skin types (oily, dry, sensitive, etc). then you need a moisturizer. again, I recommend either cetaphil or cerave to start off with bc of their low price point and how highly rated their products are. I use cetaphil daily face cleanser and cetaphil's daily oil free moisturizer with spf 35. definitely try to get one with spf in it because sun protection is the other essential part of a bare bones skincare routine. when looking for a face moisturizer, try to go for ones that say they're non-comedogenic which means they won't clog your pores. oil-free is probably preferable too especially if you have acne.
after you have the basics you can get into other stuff! this stuff is going to depend on what skin issues you have. there are a whole lot of serums out there you can look into (niacinamide I think is one of the best serums for most skin types and you can get a bottle of it from both good molecules or the ordinary for like $6). different serums are formulated to target different things, so again try to google stuff to see what might be most helpful for you. skincare brands besides cetaphil and cerave that I think are good to start out with is the ordinary (high quality at a very low price) and good molecules. neutrogena also has some pretty good products, and I really love elf's eye cream. but if you're really unsure where to start, the ordinary has an online quiz you can take on your site which will recommend products to you based off what you say your skin issues are, so even if you don't end up buying anything from them that can give you an idea of what products to start looking at.

The Ordinary: Demystifying Skincare, One Drop at a Time
Let’s face it—skincare can be confusing. With endless options, hard-to-pronounce ingredients, and promises that seem too good to be true, it’s easy to feel lost. That’s where The Ordinary steps in like a breath of fresh air. Known for its no-nonsense approach, this brand has flipped the beauty world upside down by prioritizing transparency, science, and affordability.
Here’s a fresh perspective on why The Ordinary has become a go-to for skincare newbies and experts alike.
Skincare for the Curious Mind
The Ordinary doesn’t just sell products—it educates. Every serum, solution, and cream comes with an ingredient-focused name that invites you to understand what you’re putting on your skin. Want to tackle dullness? Look to their Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution. Struggling with fine lines? Buffet + Copper Peptides 1% might be your best friend.
This focus on ingredient education empowers users to craft a routine that meets their unique needs, fostering confidence and curiosity.
Breaking the Myth of Luxury = Efficacy
The Ordinary proves that high-quality skincare doesn’t need to come in gold-embossed packaging or cost half your paycheck. By cutting unnecessary frills, they deliver effective solutions without the markup. For example:
Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion: A gentle yet effective alternative to traditional retinoids.
Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%: A potent dose of antioxidants for brighter skin.
These products rival luxury brands, not in price but in results.
A Modern Approach to Skincare
Unlike brands that push “one-size-fits-all” solutions, The Ordinary acknowledges that skincare is personal. Their wide array of products encourages experimentation and customization:
Layering: Pair a hydrating serum like Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 with a treatment like Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% for a tailored routine.
Problem-Specific Treatments: Focus on issues like uneven tone or sensitivity with targeted actives.
By promoting a modular approach, The Ordinary gives you the reins to become your own skincare mixologist.
A Fresh Take on Beauty Culture
The Ordinary has also challenged the culture of instant results. Instead of promising overnight miracles, the brand emphasizes the importance of patience and consistency. This aligns with a growing movement in skincare that values long-term health over quick fixes.
What’s Next for The Ordinary?
While The Ordinary started with a focus on actives, its expanding range hints at a broader future. Recent launches, such as their Multi-Peptide Lash and Brow Serum and Hair Density Serum, show the brand isn’t afraid to explore new territories.
Why It’s Not Just a Trend
In a world filled with over-the-top promises and complicated marketing, The Ordinary’s straightforward approach feels refreshingly new. It’s a reminder that skincare doesn’t have to be intimidating or expensive—it can be simple, empowering, and effective.
If you haven’t tried The Ordinary yet, maybe it’s time to step into this modern skincare revolution. Who knows? Your next holy grail product might be just a serum away.

Summer 2024 Lifestyle and Beauty Essentials.
Lifestyle
1. Eco-Friendly Fashion Sustainable fashion is at the forefront this summer. Opt for clothing made from organic or recycled materials, and explore thrift stores for unique, vintage finds. Brands that focus on ethical production and eco-friendly practices are the go-to choices. Look for versatile pieces that can be styled in multiple ways, reducing the need for excessive consumption.
2. Wellness Routines Prioritizing wellness is key. Incorporate daily practices like yoga, meditation, or journaling to maintain mental clarity and reduce stress. Engage in outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, or beach volleyball to stay active and soak up the sun. Eating a balanced diet with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables will help you feel your best.
3. Social Media Breaks Taking breaks from social media can enhance your overall well-being. Dedicate time to unplug and immerse yourself in nature or hobbies you enjoy. This will help you form deeper connections with friends and family and appreciate the present moment without the constant distraction of digital devices.
Beauty Essentials
1. Sunscreen and Skincare Protecting your skin from the sun is crucial. Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30, and reapply every two hours when outdoors. Hydration is essential, so use lightweight moisturizers and serums with ingredients like hyaluronic acid. Incorporate antioxidant-rich products to combat environmental stressors and keep your skin glowing.
2. Natural Makeup Look This summer, embrace a natural, effortless makeup look. Opt for tinted moisturizers or BB creams that even out your skin tone without feeling heavy. Cream blushes and bronzers provide a fresh, dewy finish, while a swipe of mascara and a tinted lip balm complete the look. Bold, colorful lip tints can add a playful touch for special occasions.
3. Haircare Must-Haves Maintain healthy hair with UV-protectant sprays and nourishing hair masks. Embrace your natural texture with beachy waves or soft curls, using minimal heat styling to prevent damage. Accessories like headbands, scarves, and hair clips are perfect for adding a stylish flair while keeping hair out of your face during hot days.

4. Sustainable Beauty Products Choose beauty products that are kind to the environment. Look for brands offering refillable packaging and cruelty-free formulations. Multi-use products, like lip and cheek tints, reduce the number of items you need, making your beauty routine more efficient and eco-friendly.
Summer 2024 is all about embracing sustainability, wellness, and natural beauty. By incorporating these lifestyle and beauty essentials, you can enjoy a season filled with health, happiness, and effortless style.

Note
I need some advice on skincare! I will never have the executive function for a multi-step routine. But I currently don't do any skincare at all. I have oily skin and pimples. I want to have smoother skin that doesn't induce my dermatillomania ;-;
Just the names of some products will do.
I don't know where to start, and I'm scared of looking it up online because it's all just ads for expensive things. I'm not looking for brands, more so looking for Types of products, like "sunscreen" and so on. (That's the only thing I know 😅)

Excessive skin care causes premature ageing
The trendy "all-in-one" format has replaced piles of bottles and tubes.

Korean multistep treatment consisting of 10 products applied one after another was in fashion just recently.
But that system quickly failed. Minimalism is trendy now. Cosmetologists have recognized that a lot of cosmetics is impractical and even dangerous for the skin. Excessive care products often lead to inflammation, acne and even early aging of the skin.
Skincare, Simplified (Finally!)
A new trend has come to replace Korean skin care, it's called a cosmetic diet. Asians, and then Europeans started choosing smart complexes "all-in-one" to replace a whole row of creams, serums, and toners. A decent example that wins over women's hearts is the multi complex Simpla 360.
Is it true that one container of this supplement can replace dozens of cosmetic skin care products, even including total creams? Does this product deal with wrinkles? A beauty expert and cofoun der of the Simpla 360 brand, Sarah Gardener.

Editorial: Hello, Sarah! Just a year ago, every women dreamed of having lots of cosemtics. Now experts are suggesting people to beauty minimalization. What's wrong with the multiple-stage approach?
SG: Multi-stage skin care isn't as good as marketologists make it sound. Just imagine layers of this pie on your own face: scrub, booster, emulsion, essence, serum, tonic, lotion, milk, hydrophilic oil, patches, masks these are things that needs to be done every day, not just once a week. As a result, skin absorbs more than it's supposed to. Pores get clogged, natural skin regeneration gets disrupted, and the lipid barrier is harmed.
